SANDT's Orange Blossom Honey - Unfiltered Raw Honey (2 lbs)
Category: mccoy's honey
Sandt’s has been packing unfiltered raw honey since 1918, staying true to the way bees intended it to be. As a family-owned business with a rich legacy, we have been committed to providing quality honey for nearly a century. What sets us apart is our unique process. Unlike most honey found on store shelves today, Sandt’s honey is not filtered, preserving its natural nutrients. We do not add any extenders, additives, or anything else. Every bottle of Sandt’s honey is pure and genuine.
All of our honey is certified kosher by the Orthodox Union (OU), the largest and most well-known kosher certification organization in the country.
When it comes to our Orange Blossom honey, it is often a combination of citrus floral sources from Oranges, Grapefruits, Limes, and Lemon trees. Orange trees are a major honey source in southern Florida, Texas, Arizona, and California. The honey produced from their blooms in March and April is white to extra light amber in color, with a unique flavor and the aroma of orange blossoms.
At Sandt’s, we take pride in providing the best unfiltered honey money can buy. Unlike filtered honey that removes the pollen, enzymes, antioxidants, and vitamins, our honey remains untouched. We do not alter it or add anything to it. Our mission is to exceed standards and educate the public about the benefits of unfiltered honey.
Honey does not spoil and does not need to be refrigerated, as it only accelerates granulation. Ideally, honey should be kept covered in a dry place at room temperature. Over time, honey may begin to crystallize, typically within six months to a year after bottling, depending on the variety. This is perfectly normal and does not affect the quality of the honey. To reliquefy crystallized honey, gently heat the container in hot water or in an oven set no higher than 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Be cautious not to overheat and melt the plastic container.
Granulation, or crystallization, is a natural process that does not harm the honey. Likewise, the white foam often seen around the rim of the honey bottle is a result of the bottling process and is not a cause for concern.
Our unfiltered raw Orange Blossom Honey is 100% pure and gathered from the orange groves of Florida. It ranges in color from water-white to extra light amber and has a distinct flavor. Each bottle is packaged in a beautiful and unique box, making it a perfect gift. It can be enjoyed in various ways, such as in tea, with fruits, on french toast, in salad dressings, and as a meat glaze.
